About U.S. Cellular

U.S. Cellular

The United States Cellular Corporation, often known as UScellular, is a mobile network operator based in the United States. Chicago, Illinois is the company’s headquarters. With 4.9 million subscribers in 426 cities across 23 states, UScellular is the fourth-largest wireless provider in the United States.

If you reside in the Midwest of the United States, U.S. Cellular is one of the top carriers for coverage. Larger phone companies’ service areas in the Midwest may sometimes eclipse smaller phone companies’ coverage areas, but some customers may have problems if they need to go outside of the prescribed coverage area.

Plans & Packages for US Cellular

The post-paid choices from US Cellular are straightforward: there are just three options, each with its own set of features.

Basic Plan

This is the most basic plan available, as the name suggests. There’s nothing more to it than unlimited call, text, and 4G or 5G data, as well as standard definition (480p) streaming. There’s no hotspot, and you won’t receive the same special RedBox deal as the other plans, but US Cellular Basic is just $55 a month for one line. When you add a second line, it costs $52.50 per line, $38.33 for three lines, and $30 for four lines.

Everyday Plan

This is your best option if you want complete access to all of the features. Nothing is off bounds, even if you don’t have the same level of access as the Even Better plan. For starters, your best streaming will be in 720p HD, and you’ll have access to 25GB of priority 4G LTE or 5G data. Everyday service costs $10 more per month on average than Basic, thus one line costs $65, two lines cost $62.50 each, three lines cost $48.33, and four lines cost just $40 each.

Even Better Plan

If you’re looking for a plan that has it all, this is the one to go with since it’s Even Better. That’s the term, and it also describes the quality of service you’ll get. Stream your programmes in full HD 1080p, take advantage of 30GB of hotspot space, and get 50GB of high-speed LTE internet. However, this plan raises the price by $10 each line, making one line $75, two lines $72.50, three lines $58.33, and four lines $50 apiece.

Coverage of 3G and 4G LTE in the United States

As you can see, US Cellular’s 3G and 4G LTE networks provide the company’s most extensive cellular coverage. The carrier’s coverage is limited to only a few areas of the nation, with just around 10% of the country covered.

Coverage of 5G in the United States

It’s a little more difficult to locate 5G coverage on the US Cellular network than it is to get 4G LTE service. When you look at the carrier’s 5G coverage above, you’ll see that it’s significantly less extensive than its 4G LTE coverage. In essence, residents of Iowa and Wisconsin have a good possibility of obtaining US Cellular 5G service in their neighbourhood; however, residents of Nebraska, Illinois, and Missouri will have to cross their fingers and hope that they live in a 5G-covered area. In the other states, however, U.S. Cellular has tiny, dot-sized pockets of 5G coverage.
