Verizon Fios is offering special discounts to active duty servicemen and servicewomen in the US, as well as retired military, reservists and National Guard members and their families. The discounts are available in new Fios services for your home, which means you can save money on Verizon internet when you package it with a phone or TV. Additional special offers are combined with your service from Verizon.

At the time of this writing, a few offerings new Fios customers can take advantage of include:
- Internet with no yearly contracts that start at $34.99 per month.
- Receive Plus Disney for a full year.
- Get a Visa Prepaid Card worth up to $200, based on what plan you choose to buy.
- When ordered via the Veterans Advantage program, the setup charge is waived.

Military Discounts From Verizon
Those serving or who have served might qualify for a monthly discount of $10, but only on certain plans. This may include TV, internet or home phone plans. Some may also qualify for a $5 discount off of a home phone or internet only plan.
Do you want to see if you qualify for the above offers? Do note that the offers are for existing and new customers. There are two steps involved with finding out whether or not you qualify, and those steps are:
1. Check Your Eligibility- All you have to do is provide basic info about yourself, such as your name, military or government email address. Verizon will show you discounts you qualify for, if you live in an area that Verizon services. If you don’t see any emails from Verizon within 10 minutes of checking your eligibility, then go to your spam folder.
2. Receiving Your Email– If you see an email from Verizon, then click the link within the email. You’ll be directed to a website. Follow the steps below once you’re on the site:
Existing Customers– If you’re an existing customer visit our ,fios deals for existing customers then let Verizon know what services you currently use or just provide your Verizon landline. You’ll receive a discount automatically if you already have a service that qualifies for the military discount. If none of your current services are eligible, then don’t worry because Verizon will show you what services do qualify. Then you can decide whether or not to buy any of the qualifying services.
New customers– New customers will be asked to provide their address, as well as their phone number. Verizon will ask you if you want to keep your current phone number or if you want to receive a new one. After you do this, you’ll be sent to another page where you can place your order. You can choose what services you want.
Verizon will add your discount automatically at the end of your transaction. If at any point you get stuck or have questions, then you can speak to a rep. Simply click on the chat link and you’ll be connected to a representative.
Verizon will review your info and then they will confirm your military status. It may take a few billing cycles for your discounts to appear on your bill. Do bear in mind that it can take longer than a week for your info to be reviewed and confirmed. Remember, feel free to chat with a rep if you have any questions at all.

As for calling features, they include call forwarding, as well voicemail to email integration. There are per minute and unlimited plans, but the promotion rates currently listed are available to those who sign a two year contract. Furthermore, you’ll have to signup for Auto-pay if you want to receive the discount. Additional fees may apply too, such as taxes and charges for equipment for example a fios router.

The above discounts are only available on unlimited plans. This includes Beyond Unlimited or Go Unlimited.
Furthermore, do note that there was once a $15 discount that was given to those in the military, by default. That is no longer in effect, but you can save more money by jumping on a mix/match plan. However, if you want to signup for a new standard plan and not do an unlimited plan, then you can receive a 14 percent discount. However, the plan you choose must be $34.99 or more.
